I have mine in the front 02 spot, no issues. If you're worried about heat, you can make a copper heatsink really easily.
That's what I did. You don't need to cut the wire if you can pull the sheathing back enough. Make a small X cut in the rubber boot around the steering column on the firewall and run it through there.

I have my lc2 in that spot and it works great and very accurate, I didn't even use the heat sink either. Nov 26, 6. I have had my PLX mounted in the front o2 location for about 4 months now. I have had no issues with the o2 sensor in the front o2 location.
Mine is run through the steering boot. The 12v source I chose was the cig.
I chose to splice for narrowband simulation solder splice. I did not wire in a resistor for the heater wire.

Nov 27, 9. From what I've dug up on Question 6. From looking at the 1g ecu pin-out's is that the 1g ECU does not have inputs for "heater power" or "heater ground" So i'm going to assume that you would treat it as a single wire o2 and forget about the wideband sensor heater and resistor?
Is that correct?

Nov 27, The resistor was used for old PLX devices. My old m used that if wiring into the ECU.
